Overview

All four of the Grand Slam tournaments (Australian Open, Roland Garros, Wimbledon and US Open) host junior events alongside those for men and women.

Although the ITF Junior Circuit was not founded until 1977 the history of junior events at the Grand Slams reaches back into the 1920s when boys and girls played competitions at the Australian Open. The final Grand Slam to introduce a junior draw was the US Open in 1973 when a boy's draw was added, with a girl's draw established the following year.

The Grand Slams are the most prestigious events on the Junior Circuit and along with a further five Grade A events are allocated the most ranking points. Click the links below to find out more about each event.
